Through December 6: ImpactLife is part of an effort by the Big Ten conference and Abbott to increase blood donation by students, alumni, and fans of Big Ten schools. The “We Give Blood Drive” is now underway with Big Ten schools vying for a $1 million grant to advance student or community health by recruiting the greatest number of donors among the Big Ten by the Big Ten Championship football game on December 7.

PRE-HOSPITAL TRANSFUSION
ImpactLife works with emergency medical service providers on pre-hospital transfusion, providing EMS teams with the ability to carry blood components on board air and ground ambulances. Pre-hospital transfusion has been shown to improve patient outcomes when patients can receive a needed unit of blood on the scene of an accident or while en route to the hospital.
