Meet the ImpactLife Scholars 

Our team of passionate second-year medical students from Saint Louis University School of Medicine brings diverse perspectives to the world of transfusion medicine and biotherapy: 

Lucila Lucila: I am a second-year medical student at SLU, originally from Chicago. I attended Marquette University in Milwaukee for my undergraduate studies and am hoping to go into emergency medicine. In my free time, I love to listen to music and go to concerts! 
Olivia Olivia: I am a second-year medical student at St. Louis University School of Medicine. I completed my undergraduate degree at Rockhurst University but am originally from St. Louis. Some of my favorite activities include traveling, trying new restaurants, and spending time with family, friends, and my cat! 
Laasya Laasya: Hi! I am also a second-year medical student at Saint Louis University. I completed my undergraduate studies at SLU as well and am originally from Phoenix, Arizona. In my free time, I enjoy singing, hiking, and exploring new food places with friends!

Dr Hermelin Daniela Hermelin, MD, CABP: Serving as our peer reviewer and mentor, Dr. Hermelin is the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of ImpactLife and an Assistant Professor of Pathology at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. Her expertise and guidance ensure the accuracy and relevance of our content, bridging the gap between academic knowledge and real-world applications in transfusion medicine and biotherapies.
