Two weeks into Muskie Madness, and our community is showing up in amazing ways! Blood donations are rolling in, and our local elementary schools are all making a tremendous impact.

Current Standings After Week Two

At the close of week two, the competition is really getting interesting!

Madison Elementary: 8 donations

Muscatine Early Learning Center: 8 donations

Grant Elementary: 8 donations

Mulberry Elementary: 5 donations

McKinley Elementary: 2 donations

Franklin Elementary: 2 donations

Jefferson Elementary: 1 donation

We have a three-way tie for first place! Madison Elementary, Muscatine Early Learning Center, and Grant Elementary are neck-and-neck with 8 donations each.

Total Community Impact

Together, our schools have brought in 34 total donations - potentially helping over 100 people in need! Every donation matters, and there's still plenty of time to participate.

What is Muskie Madness?

New to all the fun and wondering what Muskie Madness is? Muskie Madness is our annual friendly competition where Muscatine's seven elementary schools compete to bring in the most blood donors. Schools that qualify can apply for our LifeSavings Grant, and one school will earn special recognition for their life-saving efforts.

How to Get Involved

The competition runs through April 14. Scheduling an appointment is easy:

  1. Visit the Muscatine Donor Center
  2. Choose a convenient time
  3. When you donate, mention which elementary school you're supporting

The whole process takes about an hour, but the donation process only takes about 15 minutes. The impact you make through donation, makes a lasting impact.

Keep the Momentum Going! Will one of our current leaders pull ahead? Can Mulberry close the gap? Will McKinley, Franklin, or Jefferson make a comeback in the second half?

Remember, no matter which school brings in the most donations, our entire community wins when we come together to help others. Every donation counts, and every school's participation makes a difference.

Let's see what week three brings!
