With more moderate temperatures in the forecast, ImpactLife is looking to recover donations lost to weather-related cancellations in February. Snow, ice, and freezing temps have led to cancellation of 43 blood drives and dozens of missed appointments at ImpactLife Donor Center locations across the blood center's service region. The total loss from winter weather now exceeds 1000 donations in the month of February.
While conditions haven't been ideal, patient need continues at hospitals across our region. Pete Lux, ImpactLife's Vice President, Donor & Patient Services, explains why the need for blood donations is constant.

As temperatures moderate, ImpactLife asks all eligible donors to help make up for lost donations. To find a donor center or mobile blood drive, call (800) 747-5401, or book online at www.bloodcenter.org, or via the ImpactLife mobile app (www.bloodcenter.org/app).
