In addition to providing lifesaving blood products and services to patients in need, ImpactLife works with doctors and scientists to evaluate new treatments, cellular therapy and improved methods for delivering transfusion medicine to communities. Our volunteer blood donors are ideal candidates to participate in research and clinical trials because they are healthy and engaged in helping improve the wellbeing of others.

cell therapies

ImpactLife leukopakAn ImpactLife Leukopak is a collection of mononuclear cells derived through apheresis (MNC-A) and is used for research and further manufacturing rather than directly infused into a patient. A minimum of 9 billion mononuclear cells are collected in each single leukopak. Click here to learn more.

Leukocyte Reduction SystemLeukocyte Reduction System (LRS) provides a rich source of viable human leukocytes, making them valuable for various research applications. Click here to learn more.

DENDREON PROGRAM

Patients who are prescribed this course of treatment will have immune cells collected through a process called apheresis. Once these cells are collected, they are immediately shipped to a Dendreon manufacturing facility where the cells are made into the patient's own personalized cancer treatment. The immune cells are then returned to the patient as a transfusable drug to fight prostate cancer.

BIOLINKED

BioLinked is an electronic roster of people willing to participate in research studies. Those who wish to participate submit a confidential, self-managed, profile of only the medical and social information the participant is willing to offer. This allows BioLinked to then anonymously search to find people who meet research needs.
